Uniform

A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students at all times. Anyone arriving at the Academy in non/incomplete uniform clothing may expect to be sent home to get changed. Non-uniform items are not allowed.

  • Hair colour and style must be natural and appropriate for the Academy. No extremes of fashion will be allowed.
  • Jewellery:
    Body and facial piercings are not permitted.
    One stud only may be worn in each earlobe.
    One simple religious necklace may be worn to reflect a personal faith.
    One ring per hand – no heavy designs.
  • Mobile phones must be switched off in the building and must never be used in classrooms and are brought in at your own risk.
  • Valuables, including MP3 Players should not be brought to the Academy and cannot be insured.

Boys

  • Burgundy blazer – at all times
  • Academy badge (sewn onto blazer if purchased separately)
  • Academy Burgundy V neck jumper – as temperature requires
  • Plain black trousers (not denim or cord)
  • Academy tie
  • Academy scarf – as temperature require
  • Plain white shirt with a collar (not Polo Shirt)
  • White or black socks
  • Black, leather type, formal shoes.
  • Academy Bag in House colour

 No trainers, boots or canvas shoes.

Girls:               

  • Burgundy blazer – at all times
  • Academy badge (sewn onto blazer if purchased separately)
  • Academy Burgundy V neck jumper – as temperature requires
  • Academy Skirt
  • Plain black ankle length trousers (not denim or cord)
  • Academy tie
  • Academy scarf – as temperature requires
  • Plain white shirt with a collar (not Polo Shirt)
  • White or black socks or natural tights (not both, not footless)
  • Black, leather type, formal shoes; flat or with a low heel.
  • Academy Bag in House colour

No trainers, boots or canvas shoes.

Students are expected to provide their own aprons or shirts for all art and textiles lessons.
